Rider Terms & Conditions

1. Rider Agreement
By registering as a delivery rider on Let's Do Kitchen, you agree to these Rider Terms & Conditions. Riders are independent contractors, not employees.
2. Rider Requirements
- Valid driver's license (if using a vehicle)
- Valid vehicle registration and insurance
- Background check clearance
- Smartphone with GPS capability
- Reliable transportation (bike, scooter, car, or motorcycle)
- Ability to lift and carry food orders
3. Delivery Responsibilities
- Pick up orders from vendors within stated timeframes
- Deliver orders to customers at correct addresses
- Handle food packages with care to maintain quality
- Follow delivery instructions provided by customers
- Maintain food temperature (hot items hot, cold items cold)
- Verify order accuracy before leaving vendor location
- Update order status in real-time through the app
4. Earnings Structure
4.1 Delivery Fees
- Riders receive a base delivery fee per order
- Distance-based bonuses may apply
- Tips from customers are 100% rider earnings
- Peak hour bonuses may be available
4.2 Payouts
- Earnings are calculated daily
- Payouts processed weekly (every Monday)
- Minimum payout threshold: $25
- Payment via bank transfer or approved methods
5. Independent Contractor Status
Riders are independent contractors, which means:
- You set your own schedule and availability
- You are responsible for your own taxes
- You provide your own vehicle and equipment
- You are not entitled to employee benefits
- You can accept or decline delivery requests
6. Safety Requirements
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations
- Wear appropriate safety gear (helmet, reflective clothing)
- Maintain vehicle in safe operating condition
- Do not deliver under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- Report accidents or incidents immediately
- Prioritize safety over delivery speed
7. Order Status Updates
Riders must update order status:
- Picked Up: When order is collected from vendor
- On the Way: When en route to customer
- Delivered: When order is successfully delivered
- Update status within 2 minutes of each action
- Contact customer if delivery issues arise
8. Prohibited Activities
Riders are prohibited from:
- Opening or tampering with food packages
- Consuming customer orders
- Contacting customers outside the platform
- Accepting cash payments (unless authorized)
- Delivering to unauthorized locations
- Sharing customer information
- Using the platform for non-delivery purposes
9. Performance Standards
- Maintain minimum 4.5 star rating
- Complete at least 80% of accepted deliveries
- Respond to delivery requests within 2 minutes
- Maintain on-time delivery rate above 90%
- Riders below standards may be suspended
10. Liability and Insurance
- Riders are responsible for their own vehicle insurance
- Riders are liable for accidents during deliveries
- Platform provides basic liability coverage for food handling
- Riders must report incidents immediately
- Riders are responsible for damaged or lost orders
11. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate rider accounts for violations of these terms, safety violations, or poor performance.
